Mark founded MAT Aire in 1998 with the dream of bringing world-class aircraft management service to the greater St. Louis area. A true aviator from southern Illinois, Mark Trost totes an extensive resumé from nearly 30 years of experience. He attended Southern Illinois University where he earned a degree in Aviation Management. Since then, Mark has accrued over 17,000 hours and 6 type ratings while gaining experience in nearly every facet of professional aviation. Some of his experiences includes flight instruction, large corporate flight department operations, and widebody international experience from 19 years at a major US airline.
Christian joined the MAT Aire team in 2014. Native to Chicago, Christian came to the Gateway City to attend Saint Louis University where he completed his flight training and earned a degree in Aeronautics. His past aviation experiences have included daily flying for several local news radio stations, piloting skydive planes over eastern Missouri, and working in flight operations for a large charter flight department. Christian is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys camping, hiking, rock climbing, and golf.
Olen was born and raised in St. Louis and has been flying for over 8 years. Olen is a graduate of Saint Louis University where he earned a degree in Aeronautics and worked as an English tutor for second language students. Olen quickly gained experience in the industry working in pilot and management positions for reputable organizations like Helicopters Inc, Ideal Aviation, and Fly Free Skydiving. Olen currently serves his country as an officer candidate in the U.S. Army National Guard. When he’s not flying, Olen can be found fishing, skiing, and playing guitar for his band, Dixie Salute.
